Cath Heppelthwaite
Cath has over 25 years' planning experience and holds a degree in Resource Studies. She is a Full Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute, Resource Management Law Association and New Zealand Acoustic Society.
Eclipse's clients cover the spectrum of sizes and a wide range of activities, from individual home owners and multi-unit residential development to large infrastructure providers and local and central government bodies.
Cath's planning philosophy is simple:
-
No surprises – being honest with your project's prospects of success and keeping you informed of risks throughout the process.
-
Personal service – Cath will manage every aspect of your project personally – there are no ‘office juniors’ to deal with your project.
-
A strong support team – engaging competent ancillary specialists as and when required.
We understand that speed in obtaining a resource consent application is a crucial determinant of success and so we make timeliness and communication a major priority in development projects.

OUR PLANNING PHILOSOPHY
Expert advice, personal service, no surprises

Residential
We have considerable experience in the residential sector – new homes, terraced housing and apartments and additions and alterations– in both urban and rural settings.
We work with architects, engineers, specialist services and the homeowner through all stages of planning to successfully obtain a resource consent.

We provide specialist advice for business land and building development. Starting with a detailed site analysis and collaboration with architects, engineers, and other professionals to tackle challenges and ensure development meets client expectations. Strategic planning, effective communication, and team work are key to our success.
We also provide due diligence work for property purchases, such as planning constraints and future plan changes.

Community & Infrastructure
We deliver planning support for a variety of community and infrastructure clients including for small and large scale projects, proposal feasibility, policy advice, plan reviews and global consents.
Our experience includes projects with road, rail, electricity and telecommunications. We also work alongside Council and community based groups to investigate and consent recreational, sports, religious and educational facilities on public and private land.
